Aligned Center Panel Discussion: Coping with Loss

The holidays can be an especially challenging time to navigate grief. How can we heal, cultivate resilience, honor ourselves, find comfort, and develop the strength to move forward after loss–at any time, and especially during the holiday season? Join us for this special evening, as we hear from a panel of experts from a diverse array of backgrounds, trainings, experiences and perspectives, on the nature of death through their respective lenses, and how those lenses inform the process of coping resiliently with loss.
Panelists for this dynamic evening:
Amy Edelstein: founder of Inner Strength Foundation, a nonprofit organization that teaches mindfulness and social-emotional skills to teens throughout Philadelphia, and offers teacher training programs
Eve-Marie Elkin, LMSW: licensed therapist who teaches Family Constellations, a healing modality that involves understanding family and societal systems
Allison Gilbert: well-respected author and speaker on the topic of coping with loss through keeping memories alive
Rabbi Arik Wolf: spiritual leader of Chabad of Bedford in Northern Westchester; teacher and practitioner of Hassidic and Kabbalistic philosophy.
(Moderator) Lisa Zeitz: MBSR teacher and co-founder of the Bereavement Center of Westchester, a nonprofit organization devoted to supporting families and children who have experienced loss, through individual and group counseling
